The Palm brand is dead, dead, dead
0Per a press release on Monday, HP announced a reorganization that puts Palm squarely in the grave.
IMO, the Palm was dead 10 years ago. I used the original Palm devices – had several units in the 1990’s until I switched to Windows (CE) Mobile (Casio Cassiopeia, HP Jornada, and then the Compaq iPAQ). Palm was innovative but didn’t have the jumblies to combat the big guys (Microsoft, at the time) once they decided to “innovate” in the area of PocketPCs and mobile devices. Funny how things change, though, right? Now it seems Microsoft’s jumblies are missing.
So, now, webOS. 10 years from now, we may be writing the same epitaph.
